You can knit 2 exact socks at the same time! Each strand of yarn is dyed at the exact spot as the other strand. This technique makes even randomly dyed colorways produce two identical strands of yarn.
 
Use the “Magic Loop” method to knit 2 socks at the same time. No need to wind into balls of yarn first, knit directly from the cloth. Many free resources are available to learn the Magic Loop technique (on-line or YouTube etc.). If desired you may frog the cloth and wind each strand into a ball, but what’s the point to that?
